| Hosting refers to renting space on someone else’s computer (known as the "host computer" or "server") so that people can view your website.  You need a host server that runs quickly, is not overloaded (too many websites) and has very little down time, 24 hour tech support, plus plenty of back up systems in case of power outages, storms, etc.  All of these factors affect the rankings of your website. In fact, we believe that local website companies (including ourselves) cannot do an acceptable job of hosting websites because of lightning strikes, power outages, occasional slow-ages of Internet service and occasional collapses of Internet service from the local cable companies.  On top of this no local website company (to our knowledge) keeps technicians on staff 24 hours a day, including the weekends and holidays, and so we and our competition are unable to provide the same level of quality service (which affects your websites rankings in Google) that some of the giant hosting companies can.  Therefore, we searched around and found what we felt was the best company to host for our clients.  The company we chose is Webmasters.com Why did we choose Webmasters.com? 1)  They offer 24 hour tech support
2)
They offer Unique IP addresses (Many companies do not)
 3)
Their building is a city block long (Not some guy in his garage)
 4)
They do not put as many websites on one server as many companies
 5)
Their hosting takes much less time to set up than most companies
 6)
They do not advertise on people's empty domains (Doing so is highly unethical)
 7)  They have giant back up generators
 8)  They have back up batteries in case the generators fail
 9)  Their servers generally give site visitors better service than what our clients would generally get on other companies servers...
 10) Etc...

| Unique IP Address |
| An IP address is a series of numbers that identifies a computer/server on the Internet (example 192.01.123.01) and acts similar to a website address. There are two types of IP Addresses when it comes to websites.  "Shared" and "Unique". We have found that if you "share" an IP Address with other people on a host server that you get blamed (by association) if they send out spam.  Their actions can also cause your website rankings to fall. Since their can be over a thousand other people sharing the server (IP Address) we use Unique IP addresses for each website so that your email account and website do not get blamed for the actions of other people.  Your email will work better and your website may rank higher as a result.  |
